Values and Methodologies

Our Core Values

  • Community: We foster a warm and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.

  • Cooperation: We encourage children to work together, share ideas, and learn from one another.

  • Confidence: We empower children to become independent and self-assured learners.

  • Creativity: We inspire children to express themselves creatively, think critically, and problem-solve.

  • Cognitive Growth: We provide stimulating activities that promote intellectual development.

Our Teaching Methodologies

  • Immersion Education: At Starling, we follow the Communicative approach to language learning, creating an immersive English environment for students. Teachers communicate exclusively in English, and all classroom materials—including books, music, and learning resources—are also in English. This approach ensures that children are fully immersed in the language, helping them develop their skills naturally and effectively through consistent exposure and interaction.

  • Respect for Children as Individuals: Every child at Starling is treated with respect and dignity. We encourage them to make decisions, speak up for themselves, and find creative solutions to problems. By prioritizing their individuality and independence alongside English language development, we help children graduate with a strong sense of self and the motivation to continue their English education as they transition to primary school.

  • Play-Based Learning: In addition to teacher-led activities, students engage in independent, play-based learning. We meet each child at their developmental level, providing ample opportunities for them to develop crucial social skills, such as playing together, solving conflicts, and engaging in creative play with the materials available. This approach fosters both individual growth and collaborative learning through hands-on experiences.
